Xiaomi Mi A1 was launched in September 2017. The new Android One smartphone is powered by a 2 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and it's coupled with 4 GB of Ram. A1 runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat and it is the first smartphone from Xiaomi to run stock android.
The A1 is one of the best smartphones to buy in this range, as it comes with Stock Android so timely updates, and the pure Android Experience gives a smooth effect because of the absence of bloatware and of course the Dual Camera will give DSLR like-bokeh effect to your photos. We are not going much into the specs as we are here to check out how the phone handles while playing games.

Modern Combat 5
The first thing I got to say is that the Speaker is pretty Loud, that I had to lower the Volume from max! The game went pretty well, and I couldn't notice any Lags or frame drops. I played the Game for about 10 minutes, and here are the results after taking the measurement in the thermometer: SCREEN- 40°C, BACK: 38°C.

Asphalt Extreme
I used the Default Graphics Setting for Asphalt Extreme, which means the graphics is in the medium setting. I loved playing this game in A1, the reason being, I couldn't find any Frame drops in the game, and moreover, the device didn't get too hot which is the main problem with many other Smartphones while playing high-end games.
The temperature readings: Front- 39°C, Back- 38°C. This temperature is relatively cool with this type of gaming, so just another reason to love the MI A1.
Asphalt 8
Now let's try out Asphalt 8, the one game that stresses a lot of smartphones and heats them up. We are gonna play the game in the highest graphics setting just to see if the Xiaomi Mi A1's Adreno 506 can handle the game smoothly.
So after playing Asphalt 8 at the highest Graphics setting, I can tell this is one hell of a smartphone.The loading time was the only thing that was lengthy, but the phone is not to blame about that. I came 5th in the race(That's because of my amazing gaming talent☺). To my surprise, the phone didn't feel very hot compared to other devices.
Temperature Readings: FRONT-40°C, BACK-39°C
Wrapping UP
I liked the fact that the phone even with heavy gaming i.e. Asphalt 8 With Highest Setting, the handset didn't tend to heat up quite a bit. The back is slightly warm to touch because the entire back is metal, but it is not having any overheating issues.
So the phone performed good in terms of Gaming, and the gameplay of the High graphics games was pretty smooth. Therefore, Xiaomi Mi A1 is one of the best Smartphones you can buy if you want to have a good Budget Gaming Smartphone.
